Apocalyptica and Epica join forces for a big tour through Germany
Support: Wheel
In autumn, two bands that are a perfect match will play a joint double headliner show: The cello-metallers of Apocalyptica will be on tour in Germany together with the Symphonic Rockers of Epica.
The Finnish string players Apocalyptica will present not only their big hits but also the tracks from their recently released studio album „Cell-O“. Bursting with baroque energy, Apocalyptica not only find their way back to their expressive instrumental roots, this time they bring their music to life through their experience and passion. The journeys are more epic, the destinations further and the rewards so much richer than anything the exciting, ambitious quartet has ever produced. „Cell-O“ is virtually a symphony just for cellos and shows a band at the height of its unique and magical compositional power. And that´s where Epica comes in. The Dutch have been convincing with their symphonic progressive metal for almost two decades now and want to present the songs of their upcoming album at this concert, while providing a great show and proper pyrotechnics for a grandiose spectacle. Anyone who has ever experienced the band around singer and front woman Simone Simons live, knows with what force Epica conjure their extremely complex compositions live on stage. Apocalyptica and Epica together: This is a package full of power and might and will delight fans from all metal genres. The British-Finnish band Wheel was confirmed as support, impressively fusing prog rock and metal.
