Limp Bizkit and many other acts make highfield line-up complete
The Highfield is enriched by another headliner: The nu-metal icons of Limp Bizkit will be giving one of their legendary shows at Lake Störmthal. Together with many other acts they complete the line-up of the Highfield Festival from 14. to 16. August 2020 in Großpösna near Leipzig. Since the band´s foundation in 1994 Fred Durst had the ambition to do things fundamentally different. Indeed, constant change and the consistent breaking of musical conventions are the only constants in the work of the five thoroughbred musicians from Jacksonville - besides their international success, of course, which could be measured in impressive numbers and awards. But at no time has this been the sole focus: creating new things, combining genres never heard of before, giving unforgettable live shows and above all taking a stand on important issues - these are the reasons why Limp Bizkit has been successful for more than 25 years. Madsen have also made a name for themselves as innovators right from the start. Celebrated as the hope of German indie rock right after their foundation, they have been playing at the top for a long time. Sum 41 have also been setting the tone for a long time: even after selling over 15 million albums worldwide, they are still far from being finished. From Ireland comes Two Door Cinema Club, another indie rock band with a lighthouse position: The trio provides a special sound with electro-pop influences, which inspires their fans all over the world, especially live. Eskimo Callboy also weave electronic influences into their music, which is much harder, however. Their mixture of Metalcore and Techno works out perfectly and has given their shows the special reputation of not leaving anyone cold. This can also be said about Bad Religion, which have been successful for no less than 40 years. They have not lost the kinetic energy of their punk rock during this time, but instead the Los Angeles formation continues to bring new hymns to the scene. The Antilopen Gang were celebrated for their latest release „Abbruch Abbruch“ - understandable, because Koljah, Panik Panzer and Danger Dan are some of the few artists who can combine witty messages with carefree escalation. Pascow also know exactly what they stand for: melodic and aggressive punk rock meets lyrics in their music that are surprisingly lyrical. With Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Lagwagon, The Bouncing Souls and 100 Kilo Herz other punk greats are confirmed. Heisskalt, The Hunna, Kafvka and Cleopatrick also bring their guitars, while Grossstadtgeflüster, You Me At Six, Moop Mama and Provinz show how effortlessly they combine different influences into something new. This completes the lineup of the Highfield 2020. The last price level with 159, - € is in force starting March 5 at noon. All information and tickets at highfield.de.
